In this chapter Roland faces "the man in black", who reads Roland's destiny. "The man in black" told Roland that he must bring three people into that world so they can help in their mission. Aside, "the man in black" says that he is nothing compared to the real enemy, which controls the Dark Tower. "The man in black" sleeps Roland. Ten years pass when finally Roland wakes up. He saw a skeleton that he assumes that is "the man in black". Roland now has the new purpose of bring the three people.

Chapter 4. The slow mutants.
On the fourth chapter called , the duo must pass trough the mountain tunnels to make the route shorter. On the way, they found the "Slow Mutants" but Roland manage to defeat them. Already, nearing the end of the tunnel, Jake slips and he was hanging from a cliff, Roland was going to help him, but at the end of the tunnel he saw "the man in black" and he decides to sacrifice Jake in order to catch "the man in black".

Chapter 3. The oracle an the mountains.
Jake and Roland arrived to the most calm lands. On this lands they find an oracle that is also a Succubus. Roland asks her about his destiny, an the Succubus told him that he must continue trough the mountains if they want to find the dark tower.

Chapter 2. The way station.
On this chapter Roland arrives to a train station where he meets a boy called Jake chambers. Jake is a boy who died in his own universe. He died when someone pushed him to the street and he was crashed by a car that was traveling at a high speed. Meaning: To act in a way that deceive (confuse, lie about something) the people.
Example: He was acting very deceptively about what happens in the classroom.

Chapter 1. The Gunslinger.
This chapter introduce the main character. His name is Roland of Gilead. He is a gunslinger that is after a man called "the man in black". He start pursuit him through the desert. Rolad want´s to arrive to a place called "The dark tower", and the first step to do so, is to find "the man in black". While he is traveling through the desert in his mule, he decides to stop and rest in a bar. While he is in the bar, he start to remember when he was at the Tull´s town. "The man in in black" was at Tull´s town before Roland, and he convinced all the people to turn against Roland. Roland, with no other way, killed all the people from the town. This memory is very painful to Roland, but he decides that he can stop his quest for things like this, and that he must continue with his journey. All of this, is happening in a parallel universe from ours.
